Citibase Targets Ambitious Expansion Plans With Key New Appointment28/10/2015
As part of its ambitious plans to further expand the number of business centres in its network, Citibase, the largest independent operator of fully serviced business centres in the UK has bolstered its senior management team.
Ikenna Nweke joins the company as Director of Business Development and has been appointed to lead plans for growing the number of business centres Citibase operate. As part of Ikenna’s role, he will work with owners of under-utilised, secondary office buildings to conduct a strategic review of their properties to see how Citibase could potentially help them generate revenue from their empty building.
Ikenna brings with him a wealth of experience in the commercial real estate and serviced office sectors, most recently as New Business Development Director at Regus. He has also worked across the automotive and IT solutions industries for global companies FIAT and Xerox.
Steve Jude, CEO of Citibase, comments: “There is a real issue with vacancy rates in the secondary office sector and Citibase could provide the solution for many of these building owners. Ikenna’s appointment will help us to engage with more of these landlords and work with them to show how we can assist in generating cash and fill their empty offices with our SME customers.
“This is a new role which we have created specifically to support the company’s significant expansion plans as we seek to increase the number of Citibase business centres nationwide. Throughout his career, Ikenna has clearly demonstrated that he has the expertise to deliver on our ambitious growth strategy.”
Citibase provides a solution for landlords who see the benefits of attracting the growing number of SMEs and start-ups but are wary of the risk and work involved. The company is looking to add to its network throughout the UK, which currently includes locations from Edinburgh, Newcastle and Manchester in the North to London, Brighton and Bristol in the South.
