Citibase prepares for Elizabeth Line boost with the opening of a new flexible office hub in Slough03/05/2018
Citibase, The Property Manager for the New Economy, is meeting the soaring levels of demand for flexible work space in the Thames Valley area with its latest vibrant new office hub in the heart of Slough. The centre has potential to provide almost 13,000 sq ft of flexible and affordable fully serviced office space, housing up to 220 SMEs, entrepreneurs, start-ups and larger corporates.
Citibase Slough is located in the landmark Urban Building, moments from the town centre. With a modern reception and contemporary café on the ground floor, the centre is flooded with natural light. Its stylishly designed interiors offer an inspiring and collaborative workplace environment with unique features such as ‘urban beach hut’ meeting rooms and exposed metal floors. Reflecting the recent increase in demand for open, collaborative working, Citibase will offer both areas for co-working as well as self-contained office suites.
Slough is Citibase’s ninth new business centre launch in the past 12 months, reflecting a hunger from the UK business community for its flexible, fully serviced offices. It is the company’s third centre in the Thames Valley area, following last month’s opening of the new Citibase High Wycombe, and Citibase Reading, which is housed in the stunning, Grade II listed Wyvols Court set in landscaped grounds in the heart of the Berkshire countryside just south of Reading.
The centre’s launch is reflective of Slough’s status as one of the country’s premier business districts, having been named the best place to live and work in the UK last year . Regeneration worth £1 billion over the next 25 years has attracted a huge amount of businesses and lucrative investments to an area that already boasts international names such as O2, Unilever, KP Snacks, McAfee and Ferrari.
The town’s excellent transport links are also a major draw, with London Paddington accessible in just 19 minutes. Next year’s opening of the Elizabeth Line (Crossrail) will also play a huge role in the continual transformation of the area, offering services to Bond Street in just over 30 minutes. Heathrow Airport T5 is also just seven miles and 15 minutes away.

This is not a trend that shows any signs of slowing, with CBRE reporting recently that 64% of occupiers expect to expand in flexible office space over the next three years.”
