Faces of Citibase: Meet Jo06/03/2020

We have been commissioned by some of the largest names in the UK property market to help convert their under-utilised office space into thriving Citibase business centres. Our Client Services team provide the link between these clients and the wider business. They are responsible for the performance of the centres in our client portfolio.

Meet Jo, she’s Associate Director of Client Services who works directly with our clients. She knows how to remain calm and focused under pressure and only recently saw Top Gun for the first time (yes, really!).

What is your role at Citibase?
My role is Associate Director of Client Services, so I work with our clients who are the building owners and asset managers, ensuring their centres are meeting targets, operating with excellence and working with them to increase our portfolio of business centres nationwide.

When did you join Citibase and what was your role?
I joined in 2011 as Operations Manager (similar to our Centre Manager role now) at Citibase Mitcham after being TUPED across when Citibase took over the management of the building.

What have you learned from your time at Citibase?
I have learned to have a sense of humour, be adaptable and appreciate the importance of working with speed and accuracy. We are an extremely fast paced business with lots of daily changes and movement, so it is good to keep calm and take a breath to make clear decisions.

What are you most proud of?
I am proud of my progression within Citibase over the last nine years.

If you were a superhero, what would your power be and why?
I wouldn’t really want to be a superhero because it’s far too much responsibility. But if I had to choose, I’d say Black Widow as I wouldn’t age, which is almost a super power in itself!

What’s the last movie you saw?
Top Gun (for the first time, believe it or not!)

The last place you went on holiday?
Italy/France (on honeymoon)

Advice you’d give to your younger self?
Don’t stress or get fixated about the small stuff and don’t try and fix everything. A cliché, but also to enjoy every day and don’t wish your life away.
